The
Chemin des Diligences (The Stagecoaches Way)
This easy hike in the bed of the valley leads you through the main
hamlets of Vallorcine. The trail follows the old stagecoaches road
that once connected Chamonix to Martigny From the Buet to Barberine.
This charming path guides the walker through the characteristics
of the village. The Stagecoaches Way Trail Guide is available at
the Tourist Office : 2.00 €.

Cascade
de Berard (Berard Waterfall) Trail & Grotte à Farinet (Farinet’s
Cave)
From the Buet, follow the trail starting left of the Buet Hotel. Follow
signs “Cascade de Bérard” (Bérard Waterfall), “refuge” de
Bérard (Bérard Hut).
According to the legend, in 1873, some sort of local Robin Hood, a money-counterfeiter
named Farinet, allegedly hid in the cave located behind the waterfall,
in order to escape the gendarmes. To access the cave, take the path starting
left of the Crèmerie (refreshment stand).
